I’m a postdoc “at the intersection of science and practice” at the Baby & Child Research Center in Nijmegen, Netherlands. This position allows me to combine my expertise in infancy research with my passion for science communication and community building.
In 2021, I completed my PhD at the University of Göttingen, Germany. In my PhD, I investigated why children learn the words they do. We find considerable individual differences in early vocabularies, and I am interested in the factors that explain them. My research focused on the interplay of existing semantic knowledge and category curiosity in novel word learning.
